It's a great program for all hospitals.
The Safer Way to Sleep program makes it easier for parents to care for baby once they go home as they have seen the hospital staff practice safe sleep by using the HALO SleepSack Swaddle on their baby, and they can easily incorporate this technique at home. We have also found that modeling behavior that you want parents to adopt helps our staff understand the tremendous impact they have on parents and on the health and well-being of their patients. It’s a mindfulness that is present among the staff that we have not seen before, and therefore believe it’s a great program for all hospitals. All this contributes to the parents’ positive hospital experience.

We love the HALO SleepSack in our NICU!
We absolutely love the HALO SleepSack wearable blankets in our Newborn Intensive Care Unit. The preemie and newborn sizes work well for our various patient population sizes. Parents also really love that the cords are so manageable and that they can easily wrap their own infants in them, no special wrapping technique questions about where to put the cords. They are great for educating on how to properly wrap for safe sleep at home, and above all they are comfortable and cozy for our little patients!

HALO made it easy to set up our safe sleep program.
Dayton Children's Hospital and HALO share a common goal of safe sleep practice to combat infant mortality. HALO was instrumental in help us navigate the implementation of our safe sleep wear program. Their staff helped us choose appropriate safe sleep wear for our in-house, gift shop and take-home programs. Their willingness to go above and beyond by donating HALO SleepSack wearable blankets was instrumental in the success of our community outreach. This was truly an asset to our organization and our community.

The HALO SleepSack helps us make a difference for our families.
The babies love them and the nurses do as well. We wrap our babies in a HALO SleepSack Swaddle while they are here, then provide Safe Sleep literature for parents when they are discharged. We think it makes a difference.

I can't wait to use the SleepSack Swaddle at home.
My daughter has been in NICU for a week now and they put her in a HALO SleepSack Swaddle last night and she slept all through the night minus feedings! She was so comfortable and kept warm! Thank you so much for an amazing swaddle blanket! I'm going to need to find one for our house when she's discharged! I can't wait to bring her home and swaddle her in this awesomeness and brilliant invention!

We loved the HALO SleepSack.
We loved having a SleepSack Swaddle to use for our son in the hospital. Not only did it remind us about safe sleeping habits for newborns, but it was warm and comfortable as well!
More than 1,500 Hospitals Use HALO to Promote Safe Sleep Education
Our founder, Bill Schmid and his wife Cathy lost their first born to SIDS. From this tragedy, HALO and its mission were born. For more than 20 years we’ve been educating parents about safe sleep practices and supporting safe sleep organizations such as CJ First Candle, Cribs for Kids and the Canadian Infant Safe Sleep Project. Since 2005, the American Academy of Pediatrics has suggested the use of wearable blankets.
Today, HALO SleepSack wearable blankets are the #1 trusted choice of hospitals and are used in the United States and Canada to help babies sleep safely from the start.
